Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launches Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Service
In an endeavor to make primary healthcare accessible to under privileged communities across the city, Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal formally launched the Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Service by flagging off a mobile medical van at his residence on 2nd November.

Arifali, General Secretary of Human Welfare Foundation, Mammunni Moulavi, Vice Chairman of HWF, PA Jaleel, Head of CSR Aster DM Health Care, Rafeek Ahmad, Secretary of HWF, Dr.Farooque, Vice Chairman of Al shifa Hospital, Abdul Nazar, Director of Alshifa Hospital and Noufal PK , CEO of HWF were took part in the launching ceremony.
The mobile medical van will be a key component of this initiative and will be integrated with medical camps that will target communities within a 10-15 km radius of Alshifa Multispeciality Hospital, reaching nearly 1 Lakh people who currently do not have access to comprehensive medical facilities. The van is equipped with all facilities to provide diagnostic, laboratory, medical check-ups, consultation, and first aid treatment. The mobile clinic will also be fully staffed by a doctor, nurse and medical technologist to offer healthcare services.
“The Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Service has given us an opportunity to serve people living in the impoverished pockets of this city who are in acute need of basic healthcare facilities. Our partnership with Alshifa Multispeciality hospital and Human Welfare Foundation is an endeavor to leverage our expertise and skilled medical personnels to make a tangible impact on communities across Delhi,” said Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare & Managing Trustee of Aster DM Foundation.

This initiative will help in early detection of lifestyle diseases like diabetics, hypertension etc while also educating the public about the importance of hygiene in general with a special focus on mothers and kids. In addition to the Mobile Medical Service, medical screening camps will be organized to provide specialty medical care in presence of top doctors from Aster hospitals in India. Depending on the patient history, Aster Volunteers will also facilitate advanced surgeries for high risk patients to further support them. The mobile van is a part of Aster DM Foundation’s “Doctor on Wheels” approach to provide prompt and timely free medical care at the doorsteps of communities in need.
